Tree of Life – Level 1, Lesson 3: Life 2
Life is the force of Spirit…Life is the Divine Emanation.
Life is God in Action.
In Genesis, Chapter 2 verse 7…then the Lord God formed man out of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a LIVING BEING.
The Creator gives unto every creature this divine emanation, to prove His existence and manifestation. It is through Life that the Word becomes manifest into flesh, and dwells amongst us.
Life also has three stages of Manifestation, as does every other facet of Spiritual existence. These three stages are formation, growth and perfection.
The Lord formed man from the dust of the Earth. The dust of the Earth symbolized the unmanifested Word of God, the idea.
The creator forms the idea in Universal Mind, Universal Mind—the unmanifested and the dust of the earth are all one and the same thing. They are all form, the first stage of formation.
The breath of God is Spirit. It is the office of the breath of God as Spirit to create a pattern which can be filled in. Once the pattern is created, man enters into life, becomes a living soul, and the stage of growth has been achieved.
The second chapter of Genesis goes on to tell us that our Creator the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, and there He put man He had formed. Eden represents Nirvana, the highest state of Universal Mind.
The Garden planted there represents our heavenly existence, our own heavenly life in that state of mind.
Genesis tells us that the Lord God our Creator made to grow every tree that is pleasant to sight and good for food. Trees represent and symbolize the many ways of life in which the individual manifestation of man can express itself.
Genesis also tells us that these trees or ways or life were pleasant and good, to sight and for food. Providing to us who understand that all the ways of life are to be visualized and are to be partaken of, each in accordance to THE INDIVIDUAL’S DESIRE.
Genesis tells us that the Tree of Life is there. The Tree of Life symbolizes the main- stream of existence, or the unlimited source of pure Spirit, the TRUTH…the SELF….
The tree of knowledge of good and evil also grew there, and this tree represented duality. The tree of knowledge of good and evil was purely symbolism, it was male and female.
Man had only arrived at this stage of growth; he was unable to eat of this fruit in this state of mind…the state of mind that he was in at the time of the Garden incident.
Therefore the Lord Creator forbade him to be so tempted by the serpentine force of uncontrollable desire to attain. Man violated the LAW of nature and unnaturally created a false image of himself, because man had not grown to perfection and attained Lordship. He was unable to control his creation, and this was the original sin.
In this age of the Lord of Life, the Great Christ Power, man has grown to perfection and is now ready to dominate life. We stand by the threshold of pure life, not bound by handicap nor by inhibitions and fears. We walk in Liberty of the Christ and demonstrate through the TRUTH which makes us free. We are told that there is a river in Eden which waters that Garden. This river is the Spiritual Life, which water the highest state of Mind in which God dwells.
That the river was divided into four rivers, the four rivers plus the original river equals the five. We are told about gold being forced into the Garden, Genesis 2 verse 11. Gold is the materialization of God’s pure idea. Gold symbolically represents man—when the alchemist says he turns base metals, he is in reality saying that he is forming man out of the dust of the earth and making him a living soul.
He is also transferring him out of the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God’s dear Sons.
We are told in the gospel of John 1:4-5: “In him was Life, and the Life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Meaning in him there is life and Life is also Light. After the divine alchemist, the Creator has formed the Golden Force of God, that Golden Sun of God became the Life of the World … he became that power which brings forth many other sons through right understanding of the SELF and the SELF oneness with Life.
There is only one life and one SELF, the primordial force for good. This primary force for good, infinitely indwelling, full of divine Wisdom and Knowledge is incapable of transgressing the Law, for the LAW is part of its nature.
Jesus Christ was the first-begotten of many brethren, the divine Son of God. The Scriptures say in him was Life. He is a personification of divine life. He transmitted that Life to us through the divine bloodstream of Spirit.
That is why scripture declares in John 1 verse 7: “He came for testimony, to bear witness to the Light, that all might believe through him.” The blood of Jesus Christ is the divine life of spirit, not any of the denser forces.
As it has been related before, this life is incapable of sin. Therefore we to whom this Life has been imparted are also incapable of sinning, because we are partakers of his blood or his Life.
Now we can rightfully understand St. John 10, verse 10. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have Life and have it abundantly. Let us not forget we are partakers of the Father-Mother God…divine Love, and be anointed of water and spirit, partaking of a new divine Life.
Using the Law….form and pattern, let us be forward and grow into perfection and stand fast in that liberty wherewith Christ has set us free, or that liberty is divine life in yoke of bondage.
For those yokes of bondage are in reality false ideas and images created by the only devil that actually exists…. MASS MIND.
THE KEY
The center of life is neither in thought
nor in feeling nor in will, nor even in
consciousness, so far as it thinks, feels
or wishes.
For Real Truth may have been penetrated by a
man and possessed in all these ways, and
escaped us still.
Deeper even than consciousness, there is our
being itself, our very substance, our nature.
Only those truths which have entered into this
last region, which have become ourselves, which
become spontaneous and involuntary, a part of the
instinctive and unconscious.
