There comes a point on everyone’s spiritual journey when it becomes obvious that God has something for you to do. Fortunately, since God is within us, that “something” is already calling to us. We’ve been aware of it for a long time. We just didn’t know what it was. Becoming a priest or a minister is the way to answer that calling. Whether you’re called to a public ministry or to bring the power of God into your chosen work or profession, the Priesthood is inevitable for you. It means that God has called you aside to do the work you are most capable of doing. Ask anyone who has been ordained a priest, and they will tell you that it makes a huge difference in their relationship to God, Jesus Christ, and Mother Mary. But be forewarned: once God sets you aside from the world, you cannot go back. The vows are forever. But if you have a calling, why would you want to be of the world?
